TIS Living designs furniture the way a household actually functions - around routine, ergonomics, and the specific habits of the people who use it every day, not around what a single photograph needs to look complete.

Every piece is designed to a global standard of form and finish, then adjusted, piece by piece, to the family it is made for.

Founded in 2010, TIS Living began after Ankur Dassani rebuilt from a negative financial position, following the collapse of a fifty-crore family textile export business two years earlier. Its roots run deeper than the founding date — into a household shaped by resilience rather than reserve.

In 2011, Vineeta Dassani joined as creative director, and the two built a company on a single belief: furniture should serve the life around it, not the other way round.

That belief, paired with a refusal to compromise on process, moved the company from residential interior contracting into the specialised discipline of bespoke furniture-making alone.

In 2022, it took physical form - a 40,000 square foot factory in Gurgaon & 7,000 sq. ft. of experience hub (showroom), housing carpentry, upholstery, polish, metal, and stone under one roof, run on German-engineered machinery chosen for a consistency few ateliers ever reach.

TIS Living was born from reinvention.

In 2008, our family-led export business—specialising in home textiles and garments for international hotels, offices, and global brands—was thriving. With a turnover exceeding 50 crores, the enterprise had built a strong international presence. But when the global financial crisis struck, the market collapsed almost overnight. Within a year, a flourishing export business was reduced to zero.

Closing down was not an option. Reinvention was.

Having spent over a decade exhibiting and working across design capitals such as Paris, Sweden, Barcelona, Madrid, and Frankfurt, exposure to thoughtfully crafted spaces had shaped a quiet aspiration: why should such refinement belong only elsewhere? Why could India not experience the same level of considered design and execution?

In 2010, this conviction led to the founding of Total Interior Solutions—beginning with what was known best at the time: textiles. Yet the transition from fabric to furniture was a natural progression. A 25-year-old manufacturing facility that once housed tailors producing home furnishings gradually evolved. Carpentry replaced garment lines. Polishers joined the workforce. The language of textiles expanded into the language of bespoke interiors.

What began as adaptation soon matured into intent.

As projects grew in complexity and scale, so did the philosophy behind them. Furniture was no longer seen as an accessory to space, but as its structural backbone. Precision became central. Pre-production became disciplined. Execution moved from improvisation to engineering.

A defining chapter in this evolution was the partnership between founder Ankur Dassani and co-founder Vineeta Dassani—an interior designer from the lush hills of Coonoor, near Ooty. What may have appeared as coincidence revealed itself as alignment. Her intuitive understanding of spatial balance and lifestyle integration, combined with his manufacturing discipline and international exposure, shaped the foundation of TIS Living.

Today, TIS Living continues to evolve from its atelier and manufacturing base in Gurugram—remaining committed to bespoke craftsmanship, meticulous material selection, and the disciplined execution of thoughtfully designed spaces.

What began as survival has matured into legacy.

And the journey continues.

Set up our furniture factory.
