Whole-Home Custom Woodwork
Built to a brief, not selected from a catalogue.
Bespoke furniture, made for Indian families. your family. TIS Living has worked this way since 2010 — loose furniture and fixed woodwork for a whole residence, hospitality, holiday homes, retail spaces, and offices, made at a 40,000 sq ft factory in Gurugram and installed across 50 cities and 18 states.
Most furniture described as custom in India is a collection piece with your dimensions applied. That is a real service, and often the right one. It is not what happens here. Nothing exists until a brief does.
What Gets Made
The scope is the difference, more than the factory. All loose and fixed woodwork, manufactured at our factory and installed at your site. Clean execution, precision craftsmanship, and minimal on-site disruption.

01. Loose furniture
02. Fixed woodwork

Most makers do one or the other. Running both from one facility means the panelling behind a bed and the bed itself are cut from the same material batch, finished in the same booth, installed by the same team. Grain matches. Tones hold. Nobody is coordinating two vendors who have never met.
That is the practical case for whole-home scope. It is not an aesthetic argument.
Custom Furniture Project types
Each project type has its own requirements. The factory is the same; the constraints are different.
Villas, bungalows and farmhouses
Whole-home scope, multi-floor, often multi-building. Our largest is 45,000 sq ft across several villas in Ranchi.
Penthouses, large apartments and flats
Tighter tolerances, service-lift constraints, building-management schedules.
Holiday homes
Covered under villas and farmhouses. A 7,000 sq ft hill home we furnished was published in Elle Decor India; a Mussoorie holiday home with ASDS Studio ran in Architectural Digest.
Offices
Executive cabins, boardrooms, reception, panelling, doors.
Process
Before we build custom furniture, we take the time to understand your family’s lifestyle, daily routines and individual needs. We ask the right questions, bring everyone onto the same page, and address potential concerns before production begins.

Client Brief
Client Brief — Before We Build
Good furniture begins with the right questions. We understand how you live, align every decision, and address the details before they become problems

Pre-Production
Site Taping & Validation
Every measurement confirmed on-site. We tape, mark, and document before a single dimension is finalised.

Pre-Production
Material Selection
Materials chosen from our 1,500+ library — matched to the client's palette, habits, and daily life.

Pre-Production
Ergonomics & Usage
Heights, weights, and proportions calibrated to the people who will actually use the piece every day.

Pre-Production
Shop Drawing Approval
Every detail compiled into engineering drawings. Nothing is cut before the drawing is signed off.

Production
Carcass Build & Inspection
The structural skeleton is built and checked before any finish is applied — inside and out.

Production
Final Inspection
Every joint, seam, and finish edge is reviewed. A piece is cleared only when it passes — not before.

Delivery
Delivery & Installation
Every piece leaves fully finished at the factory. Nothing is carpentered or improvised on-site.

After Sales
Lifetime Service
A project closes when the client is satisfied, not when the invoice is paid.
Errors found in week two cost a conversation. Errors found in week ten cost a remake.

Owning the machines matters for a specific reason: a panel re-cut is a scheduling decision, not a negotiation with a vendor who has other work booked. Most custom furniture delays in India are coordination failures between workshops, not manufacturing failures.
A 7,000 sq ft Experience Centre in Sector 18, Sarhaul, holds material samples, finish panels and finished work at full scale. Veneer looks different at 300mm than it does across a 3m wardrobe run. Worth seeing before you choose.
A tree is planted for every product made.
Pan-India delivery
"Crafting Happiness" across 50 cities and 18 states.
Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu.
Distance is the part that is actually hard. Manufacturing in Gurugram and installing in Guwahati means the measurements have to be right the first time, because a 2mm correction is a 2,000km round trip. Projects outside NCR get an additional site-verification stage for this reason.
Discover Our Work →
80+ architect and design practices have specified our work. Several of those projects have run in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor India, Archello and The Architect's Diary.
For practices, we work to your drawings and your specification. We do not propose design changes to a client behind you, and we do not take the client relationship.
Honest criteria
Four situations where this is the wrong choice.
You need furniture this month.
Eight to fourteen weeks is the honest range, and we will not quote shorter to win the project.
You want to see the finished piece before committing.
Bespoke means it does not exist yet. Shop drawings and material samples are what you get instead.
Your budget is fixed and tight.
Custom costs more than catalogue. If the number cannot move, retail serves you better.
You need one sofa.
The economics work across rooms, not single pieces.
A good brief from the wrong client is still the wrong project. We would rather say this now.

What does whole-home bespoke furniture actually include?
+Both loose furniture and fixed woodwork. Beds, sofas, dining tables, armchairs and consoles, plus wardrobes, wall panelling, doors, vanities and ceiling work. TIS Living manufactures all of it at one 40,000 sq ft facility in Gurugram, which is why grain and finish hold across a room rather than being matched between vendors.
How long does bespoke furniture take in India?
+Eight to fourteen weeks from signed drawings to installation. Design, site measurement and requirement alignment happen before that and take two to four weeks. Projects outside Delhi NCR add a site-verification stage, because a measurement error found after dispatch is a 2,000km correction.
Which cities does TIS Living deliver to?
+50 cities across 18 states, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ranchi, Dehradun, Goa and Guwahati. Manufacturing stays in Gurugram. Installation is handled by our own team rather than local subcontractors.
Can I use my own architect or designer?
+Yes. Over 80 practices have specified our work. We build to your architect's drawings and specification, and we do not propose design changes to the client independently.
What is the minimum project size?
+The economics work across rooms rather than single pieces. A full bedroom — bed, wardrobe, panelling, side tables — is roughly the smallest scope where custom manufacturing makes sense against buying retail.
